Evelina Bobyleva joins Mathias Klenner in a synthesis of aural architectures and field recordings of lost and found reverberating objects.

Art used to seem intuitive, but like the process of birth, it goes through transformations leading from the appearance of an idea to its formation. The significance of creativity is indicated by its ability to merge or separate the superstructured aesthetics of beauty over the harmony of the original principles and the strength of the impulse that brings this possibility to life.

Art has the ability to use symbolic signs as keys to turn the collective perception back to the original impulse. The more we can perceive, the more space of the mind becomes available for staying in the process of creation.Therefore, we set one of the important tasks as artists - to create a space of consciousness, barely marking it. Practically - to embody silence for the possibility of contemplating the permanence of life in itself.

In this encounter, Evelina uses her voice as an instrument of chants, whispers and whistles, surrounded with the reverberations of modern ruins, recorded by the project “Resonant Spaces”, abandoned industrial spaces with unique and sublime acoustics. Using the process of convolution reverb Evelina’s voice inhabits those spaces and gives them a new meaning as a healing process. At the same time, Mathias produces a background noise of field recordings, hours of listening explorations in underground water tanks in Chile, cliffs in the coasts of Portugal, Communist monuments in the Balkans, underwater rivers in the Pyrenees and water pipes in Catalonia.
